Chris Harris

Kyoshi Chris Harris began his martial arts training  in 1994 at the age of 11. Chris earned his black belt in 1999, one of the few Order of Isshinryu Martial Arts members to achieve this rank at the age of 16. He continued his training while going off to college and graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science. He continued to work and train until he had the opportunity to take over as a sensei at the Hombu Dojo where he was an active sensei for a number of years. He was promoted to hachi-dan by Grandmaster Toby Cooling in 2022. He currently serves on the Grandmaster Cooling Tournament board, the Board of Directors for the OIMA as the Event Coordinator, and as a mentor for the kohai in the OIMA.
