The last 6 months have proven to be challenging for many people, from all over the world, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The Order of Isshin-Ryu (OI) has remained OI Strong, however, by introducing virtual classes, evaluation opportunities, and Shiai participation. We have ‘adjusted our sails’ to continue our training. At this time, OI Dojos are beginning to open up again to in-person instruction with proper protocols including masks, social distancing, and proper cleaning regiments. It feels great to get back into the Dojo and train with our Family again!
The OI held it’s second Virtual Shiai on October 3, 2020, with virtual evaluations occurring beforehand. The following individuals were recognized at the Shiai for promotions to their next rank:
